License Keys

Evaluation Version

BizAgi BPM Suite can be downloaded to use indefinitely without any obligation. With the Evaluation Version, you will have full access to all the features and capabilities of our BPM Solution.

Product License

There are four types of licenses:

1. BizAgi Xpress CAL (Client Access License) Perpetual
2. BizAgi Xpress CAL Subscription
3. BizAgi Reseller Fee
4. BizAgi Xpress Academic License

Perpetual and Subscription License

A separate CAL (Client Access License) is required for each individual person ("User") that accesses or uses the Server Software. A CAL is not a software product; rather it is a license that gives a User the right to participate in a running process and to access or use the services of the BizAgi BPM Server. The server itself does not require any license. As soon as your order is authorized, you will receive an e-mail message with two license keys:

• The first key is used to License the Server so that created projects can be Executed (deployed to production).
• The second key allows the participation of more than 10 Users.

Activation

When the keys are received they have to be entered through BizAgi Studio. Enter the first key in every machine that has BizAgi installed and that wants to be used to execute projects (Deployment), going through Support – Enter Key. Type or paste the license key in the space provided and then click on OK.

The second key is entered through the License Administration option.

This option may be found in the Welcome to BizAgi page

Select the server that needs to be licensed (the Production server). If the server does not appears in the drop-down list, type the name and click on Connect.

Since this is the first time, there will be no license information available, it will just say: "Server licensed for development and testing purposes only". Click on the Enter License key button and type or paste the license key in the space provided.

Click on OK to save changes. Now the license information for the server is shown.

Renewal and Adding Users

If the license is for Xpress Edition, is necessary to renew the subscription or add users through the Client Portal. So, log into the Portal using the provided username and password.

In the Portal, click on the View my Purchases tab or use the link in main page.

In the new page is possible to see the Registered Installations and the information about purchase licenses. An "installation" means a key license that was registered in a Production server through the License Administration option. For each installation is possible to add more user, by clicking on Buy Additional Users; or renew the license, by clicking on Renew.

Depending on which action was chosen, this will be added to the shopping cart on BizAgi Online Store where is possible to continue with the purchase process (clicking on Proceed) or include more products to the shopping cart (clicking on Continue Shopping).

After completing the purchase process (either for Xpress, Standard or Enterprise Edition), go to License Administration and click the Update License button.

Reseller and Academic License Activation

As soon as your order is authorized, you will receive an e-mail message with a license key to be used to permit the projects to be deployed. This same license works for the Production server, but only for 10 users. After the key is entered this window will not be shown again.

License Administration

To administer Licenses, click on the Support tab in BizAgi Studio. Select License Administration.

A window will display:

• The current computer's License information on the bottom of the screen. That is, how BizAgi Studio was unlocked.
• The server's License information: it shows the License type, number of users licensed and the expiry date.
• A button to Buy a License: clicking the Buy button will open a browser to our Buying Home Page.
• A button to enter the Server's License. That is the second key you received when the purchasing operation was authorized.

To view the Product License click on the About button. If the product is licensed, the License name will be displayed. If not, Evaluation Version will be displayed.

Licenses From the Web Application

You can access the License information through the Web Application. Go to the Admin Menu, and select Licenses. The information displayed includes the number of users created, and the License expiry date.
